THANKSGIVING DINNER - Thank you to all who
helped with the dinner: preparing, cooking, setting
up tables, serving, and clean-up. Without all the
help it would not be a success. The winner of the
Legion gun will be announced in the next newsletter.
THANK YOU to all who helped with the
activities on November 12th: BBQ - clean-up (before
and after), cutting the meat, cooking, preparing the
sandwiches, delivering sandwiches and beans to shut
ins, and serving: parade organizers - collecting the
entries, lining them up, and sending them in order:
Pie stand - in setting up, cutting pies, and
serving, cashier and raffle sellers: quilt show - in
setting it up, watching so no damage would be done
and taking down to return them: to the servers in
the Legion - to serve the color guards, speaker, and
ALR. Without everyone doing their part Veterans Day
would not be a success. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all
those who participated in the Color Guard, Firing
Squad, Auxiliary marchers and ALR.
LEGION - We have bought a new sound system
for the Legion. Also, a disk for a digital camera
was found on the side walk in front of the Legion.
If you know anyone who is missing one, Earlene
Bronson has it.
SALS - Thank you to those who help find a
speaker at the last minute as the scheduled one had
an emergency in the family.
ALR - Noon Breakfast - Jan 15, 2012.
AUXILIARY - We will be baking cookies and
doing plates for the local Veterans on December
17th. If not able to be at the Legion to help with
the cookies, bake some and get them to Karen Pollock
or Earlene Bronson. Most of our activities are
slowing down and the only help needed now is at
Bingo unless something unforeseen comes along.
Ted Mogan - Legion Commander Ron Sidman - SAL
Commander Earlene Bronson - Auxiliary President
Doug Powell - American Legion Rider Director (ALR)
