Everyone is deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy of the earthquake in Haiti. If you are wondering where to send your contributions to have 100% of your donations go to Haiti relief efforts, here is an address: ELCA International Disaster Response, ATTN: Haiti Earthquake Relief, PO Box 71764, Chicago, IL 60694-1764.

Bright sunshine and temperatures in the 40's and 50's helped shrink the snow drifts, produced lots of water in the gutters on city streets and created very muddy rural roads and farm lots. Farmers report difficulty in getting the cattle fed in the lots and watered in the milo fields. The forecast of possible rain and snow mid-week and a major winter storm heading our way over the weekend will probably bring our enjoyable weather to an end for awhile again.
