excellent response as they sold all of
the sandwiches. The profits from this
and other projects are used for
community benefits. This past year a
sizeable gift was given for the
automatic door opener at the Kensington
Senior/Community Center.

visiting her sister, Pastor Patsy
Koeneke, this week.
Dianna Rice of Athol and Sally Hayes, a
graduate of Smith Center High School,
attended the Smurthwaite Hall reunion at
KSU in Manhattan recently and had a
great time visiting and reminiscing
about their college days. Sally has been
in Indiana for 22 years where she
co-owns a consulting business and they
have clients from all over the world.
Their clients offer antimicrobial
products ("kills germs"). They assist
with designing studies to support their
claims and work with EPA and FDA to get
them to market. Their company has grown
nicely with six full time employees and
two part time. Sally states that because
of her friends in college she has gotten
to know many from the Kensington area
and enjoys reading the Kensington news
on internet. She doesn't know everybody
but likes to keep up with those she
does.
It's been another hot weekend, but a
cold front is scheduled to arrive this
(Monday) evening with a chance of rain.
Farmers state that a rain is badly
needed to keep the fall crops going.
Thought for the week--"Form good
habits--they are just as hard to break
as bad ones."
