Do Not Call List for Cell Phones
Cell phone numbers go public this month.
All cell phone numbers are being
released to telemarketing companies and
you will start to receive sales calls.
To prevent this, call 1-888-382-1222.
This is the National DO NOT CALL list.
It will only take a minute of your time,
but it blocks your number for five
years. You must call from the cell
number you want to have blocked. You
cannot call from a different phone
number.

Rainy Weather Breaks for Parade
It was a chilly, damp day for the
Elementary School Halloween Parade in
downtown Kensington Thursday afternoon,
but the rain did stop until after the
parade was over. About 75 students with
their teachers, paras and room mothers
participated, and the business places
were generous with their treats. Prairie
Haven had requested that the children
not come there because of the danger of
bringing in the flu virus. The costumes
were extremely cute this year. Hats off
to the teachers, paras, and room mothers
who got the students dressed in their
costumes in time to get into the parade.
Halloween parties followed in the
classrooms. Showers let down again
shortly after the parade finished and
continued into the nighttime hours.

Lots of Tricksters Enjoy Lovely Evening
The sun shone brightly Saturday after a
week of rainy weather which soaked the
already saturated roads, fields, and
farm lots with another inch of rain. It
was a beautiful evening for the poker
run/walk, hayrack rides, and "trunks or
treats" late Saturday afternoon. This
was a first time event sponsored by the
HOME Foundation and was termed a
success. Children with many parents were
out in masse Saturday evening for "trick
or treating" in the neighborhoods. The
evening was ideal for this event.

also spent time with other members of
her family and attended special events.

City she stopped at Belleville to attend
a baby shower for Kylee Levin, wife of

Dennis and Judy Graf of Bassett, Neb.,
were checking up on old friends in
Kensington Monday. They report about 8
inches of snow at Bassett last week.
As this column is completed Monday
afternoon, a cold front has moved
through with fog and light rain.
Sunshine continues to be rare for more
than a day at a time, it seems. Nicer
weather is predicted the remainder of
the week.
Thought for the week--Every day may not
be good, but there's something good in
every day.
