Grocery Tapes Add Up
Thanks to everyone who put their sales
tapes into the box at the Kensington
Community Store during the past several
months. The tapes totaled about $49,000
and count for points for the schools to
buy equipment. The points will be evenly
divided between the Thunder Ridge
elementary, middle and high schools. The
purchases will be reported later as the
schools make their choices. This project
is sponsored by our own Kensington
Community Store in appreciation of your
business.
The Thunder Ridge
schools are still taking the Campbell
labels and Boxtops for Education coupons
on the Betty Crocker items. They are
used to purchase all sorts of equipment.
Send them to school with a students or
take them to the office at either Agra
or Kensington. Your help is appreciated.

Prairie Haven
Notes
Remodeling
continues at Prairie Haven and as your
reporter visited Monday morning, the
crew was busy tearing up the floor tile
in the dining area. It was noisy and the
residents in the living room seemed to
be lulled into naps to displace the
racket. Come in and see the many changes
and redecorating.
The usual
greetings and fun and fitness exercises
begin each day and one-one sessions are
held. Hair care and manicures were done
Monday morning. Facts about pigs and
pork food were discussed Monday
afternoon--some residents had
interesting stories to share about
caring for pigs. Bingo was played
Tuesday afternoon. Brain food and
nutrition were compared Wednesday
afternoon.
Pastor Koeneke had
the Thursday morning Bible study and the
group enjoyed fellowship with coffee
afterwards. Coke and Cola products were
afternoon discussions. Bingo was played
Friday afternoon.
Puzzles and
card games keep residents busy in the
evenings and on weekends. They also
enjoy watching television and especially
the Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw Shows.
